A mental patient escapes from the looney bin in drag, robs a bank, and goes on the lam! This is the club scene from the severely underrated Ed Wood/Aris Iliopulos film, “I Woke Up Early The Day I Died” featuring Eartha Kitt, Abraham Benrubi, and Nicollette Sheridan. This film is extremely rare but I was fortunate enough to snag an excellent DVD copy on Ebay. Easily one of the most original movies ever made. I adore this film. {I do not own the rights to this film. For entertainment purposes only.}

I’ve been looking for it but unfortunately I don’t think it was released anywhere but this movie…a real shame

I would love to hear the song without all the noise…..

I recently found a screenshot of something that might have been a limited release soundtrack for the film. It cites the song as “Anywhere I Hang My Heart?” by Eartha Kitt….but that really doesn’t help me much. I’ll keep you posted if I do happen to find it.

Animalkisser says:

Please do let me know if you find it. Thanks!!!

@llamaescape Do you know anything about the symphonic soundtrack at the start of that clip? I tried to find something, but the end credits of the VHS-release i own are mostly not readable …
