JCVDbaby says:

LMFAO someone should loop that

ForgotMahName says:

Seems a bit backwards really, he’s still seeing the film. If the 3D is added as an after thought (not filmed in 3D) then it surey it should be fairly obvious that it’s not going to add anything to the film as a whole.

MIB:

J has just delivered an alien squid-baby. He’s is in the car with K, covered in alien goo.
K: “Did anything about seem a little strange to you?”
J: *silently looks at K*

Silent comedy at its greatest. Why they bothered with two sequels is beyond me. Oh no wait, it’s all about money. Duh. Silly me.

Regenmacher175 says:

Boris should have said: “I am NOT an animal. I am a human be….oh wait.”

Filmzie says:

Don’t want to see it, Men in Black 2 was poor, the first worked because Will Smith did the urban guy thing while Jones got to do the whole grouchy old guy schtick. TBH, they should have left it alone.

SkilfulAle says:

Its not shocking this film is so poor script wise. I remember them saying they had to do rewrites during filming, and were still filming. For me at least that spells disaster and a stench of hollywoods money making machine grinding out something just for some cash

lordtufty says:

I thought it was good

ASKaPHYSICIST says:

The first MIB was a great stand alone piece. Why does Hollywood have to milk everything till it’s but a rotten cadaver.

agmor1 says:

“Sorry to sound like a stuck record but …” In ‘Game of Thrones’, a character mentions that anything before the word “but” in a sentence is meaningless. Kermode just wants to whine and whine and whine about 3D, and no amount of listener disinterest will stop him.

pauldee says:

He doesn’t actually say “but”.

Plus, he’s reviewing a film that’s in 3D. Regardless of his opinion, he has to mention how that affects the film.

agmor1 says:

You’re right, I only heard what I wanted to hear in regards to the ‘but’. I disagree about the 3D comment: he can’t actually distinguish between different types of 3D (with the exception of ‘Hugo’), so his opinion is always “It’s crap just, you know, because …” It gets old real fast when that is the only thing he can offer in regards to the format.

Rhubba says:

A lot of people agree with him that 3D for 3Ds sake harms a movie.

jaffarm says:

Kermode has got the same netbook as me :)

deanh1978 says:

Just watched it, entertaining enough.

squamish4244 says:

Hollywood and sequels. Good lord.

agmor1 says:

His job isn’t to reiterate listeners’ views, but to inform them and explain how the filmmaker uses his techniques to create an affect. If the 3D isn’t effective, then he should explain how, not just say 3D is terrible just, well, because …

Rhubba says:

The Doc mentions the 3D in passing, it’s clear the timeslot for the review is coming to and end and besides he’s already covered in a number of other videos why he thinks 3D used in every other film isn’t effective or adds to the movie watching experience so if you’re familiar with his other reviews then you’ll be able to understand why he mentions the MiB3 3D in a brief and cursory way.

EspioArtwork says:

I Thought we took you off my New Account on YouTube

Luvie1980 says:

That’s all Hollywood has become, that and remakes.

squamish4244 says:

And prequels and reboots and reimaginings.

Mankind081 says:

How can you see an invisible fly?

raphael986 says:

these days making a sequel a very long time after the previous movie in the series (at least 10 years) is very common because hollywood had so little ideas left that they just reboot a series that was supposed to be over 10 years ago

Leumas nonnahs says:

well if i said see’s fly i would of got loads of comments saying ‘Where is the Fly’ so thats my I put Invisible.I understand and its ok.

agmor1 says:

OK, I do not want to make this into a thing, but I have seen his reviews for ‘Clash of the Titans’, ‘Thor’, ‘Avatar’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Wrath of the Titans’, the Pixar films etc. He can’t distinguish between good and bad 3D: for ‘Hugo’, he just calls the use “interesting”. My problem isn’t his argument: he makes the same argument over and over because he cannot delineate one form of 3D to the other, preferring to make generalized statements about Hollywood, instead.

Hellothasauras says:

I’m not going to see it! I was…but after this can’t be bothered. Just watch the original!
