Baggage claim is on the lower level. Lauderdale, via runway 01, filmed from seat 24A This was probably the most incredible approach I’ve ever flown, very similar to that of Quito Ecuador’s Mariscal Sucre runway 35 approach! Course flew south to the airport’s VOR at about 8000ft, and continued south for about 5 miles, then made a sharp-left-downwind approach, banking the plane pretty hard as it descended to intercept the G/S. I haven’t flown this approach since the early 90′s when TACA flew the 767 on a direct LA-GUA nonstop flight. Amazing! Enjoy!
