Donovan: Yes, I’m going to be shining with other stars tonight. It’s going to be like a cosmos of stars. Interviewer: You are the chairman of the musical wing of the David Lynch Foundation and in turn the television channel. How did that come about? Donovan: Well a couple of years ago, Linda my wife was here and we went on national television in the United States to show people what meditation was. It got to David Lynch and he’d just formed the foundation and said, “my goodness it’s Donovan.” And David said to me that I was responsible in a big way in taking up Transcendental Meditation and now that he’s got the foundation would I join him and we’ve been travelling the world, Linda, me and David Lynch promoting the foundation. Interviewer: It’s so wonderful. Do you have any advice for young artists who are just starting out musical business? Donovan: Yeah learn to meditate and do Transcendental Meditation because if you want to get in touch with your creative juices they’re all going to be inside anyway.
